Commercial License - This license is for businesses. Depending on what your organisation requires for your communication needs, we'll customise a plan to suit your business requirements. As each business varies so much in size and requirements, we offer individual quotes for businesses. If you're interested in this feel free to email us here
Gamer License - This license is required so then you can acquire additional slots beyond the maximum that the original download includes, so if you want to have more slots for your community, this is the license for you.
Offline License - The purpose of the offline license is mainly for people who are planning an event that requires offline access basically. If you have an upcoming event that requires offline access, feel free to get in touch with our Sales and Licensing team here
SDK & SDK Offline License (Software Development Kit) - The TeamSpeak SDK License (not to be confused with the TeamSpeak 3 Plugin SDK for the TeamSpeak client which is always free) can be purchased by contacting the Sales and Licensing team here. Pricing information for the TeamSpeak SDK is not published to the open public as this can vary depending on each individuals needs and what you would like overall from the SDK experience. Some special cases for non-profit entities using the TeamSpeak SDK are also evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Sponsorship License - We are looking to sponsor established or growing Esports Teams, Universities & Colleges or Content Creators, that currently (or would like to) use TeamSpeak for their online communication. Our sponsorship packages can include everything from Licenses and Servers, to Exclusive Merchandise and even Course Materials. All we ask is you show that you are as proud to use TeamSpeak, as we are of sponsoring you. If you're interested in this, feel free to apply here.
The below licenses are currently still in use, however you can no longer obtain these licenses as a new user.
Activation License - This was the older version of the Gamer License. Effectively they are the same thing, however we just wanted to update the license names so they better reflect what they're for.
ATHP License (Authorized TeamSpeak Host Providers) - This license was required for any commercial entity or hosting company that rents servers to others for profit, or provides TeamSpeak servers "free of charge to customers" via inclusion of any other for-profit services. (Currently there is no alternative to this license).
NPL (Non Profit License) - This license allowed a maximum of 2 virtual servers and 512 slots on the promise that the community didn't earn from this (For example: donations, a store, selling ranks, in game selling, basically no form of receiving profit from the server). We stopped offering this license as it doesn't suit the modern users needs and there was a lot of restrictions in how a community could operate and in some cases thrive which is why we removed this. Existing users of the NPL can carry on doing this as long as they continue to use this. If the license isn't used for a duration of time, the license will automatically expire.
Please note that if you are a commercial entity or business you MUST license any and ALL TeamSpeak 3 servers you host regardless of whether or not you choose to charge anything for the use of your servers. Hosters which turn a profit of any kind yet give TeamSpeak 3 away "for free" does NOT render the hoster as a non-profit entity.
